30 January 2018

This spring, surround yourself in a climax of the capital’s action-packed calendar, when tennis returns to the hallowed red clay of Roland Garros! Are you attending this year’s French Open? Grab your tickets from March 2018, then join us for a luxury five-star stay at Hotel de Vigny.

The French Open at Roland Garros

27th May 2018 – 10th June 2018

Will it be business as usual for Rafael Nadal this May and June? As the undisputed King of Clay looks to resume his stronghold over Roland Garros, having won 10 of the last 13 editions of the French Open - including last year’s emphatic triumph without the dropping of a single set! Quite the accomplishment.

But the Spaniard won’t have it all his own way, with serious challenges arising from Serbia and Scotland - should Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray be back to full match fitness. The biggest threat to Nadal’s clay crown will likely arrive from Switzerland in the shape of Stan Wawrinka, however. Although his age-defying compatriot may be absent, having opted out of last year’s clay season altogether. But, after rolling back the years in Melbourne - claiming the first Grand Slam of the year and a historic 20th overall - you can never completely write off Roger Federer. Current World No. 4, Dominic Thiem, is another name to look out for in 2018.

Over in the women’s, Serena Williams returns to the fray, less than a year after getting married and giving birth to a beautiful baby daughter! And just in case this wasn’t remarkable enough, she will also be playing for the opportunity to equal Margaret Court’s record of 24 major singles titles. The likes of Simona Halep and Garbiñe Muguruza stand in her way however, where the latter will be hoping for a repeat of 2016, should she meet Serena in the final.
